Mr. Wang Qinghai, Chairman of JCHX Mining, attended the production ramp up ceremony (1 mtpa potassium chloride) of Kaiyuan project on April 28 at the invitation of Lao Kaiyuan Mining Co., Ltd. (“Lao Kaiyuan”), the Employer, during when a site inspection was conducted.
Mr. Wang congratulated Lao Kaiyuan on this achievement before inspecting UG workings including decline, -75mL conveyor drive, No.1 south conveyor drive, S1/1 stopes, S2/1 mining preparation drives, No.3 south conveyor drive and south air return shaft. He asked details about the overall project planning, UG production system layout, key equipment operation and safety & quality control and management, and fully praised the project for what it has done.
Mr. Wang inquired about the transportation, power supply, ventilation, mining and development technology within the panel, required strict implementation of SOP to ensure site safety management. Mr. Wang also communicated with operators of road header and continuous miner at the working face of No.2 mining haulage roadway of S2/1 panel.
After listening to the project report, Mr. Wang made following requests to the project: proactively promote SOP implementation, pay attention to the occupational health management of front-line workers and strictly implement the principle of man-machine isolation to ensure safety; formulate mining and development plan and conduct panel design in a coordinated and systematic way to prepare for equipment mobilization and production ramp up; minimize equipment failure to maximize equipment efficiency under continuous operation; explore project staff training system and improve employee management system; enhance the conditions of newly-built living areas and Phase I living area for Laos workers.
