On June 30, the Mining Works Agreement for Underground Mining at 242 and Southern Extension of Wassa Gold Mine in Ghana was signed between Setters Investment Limited Company, a subsidiary of JCHX, and Golden Star (Wassa) Limited, a subsidiary of Chifeng Gold.
Located in the Western Region of Ghana, Wassa is a large-scale operating gold mine featured by good ore property, comprising of mainly underground deposit with several scattered open pits, the mill capacity is 2.7 mtpa. The scope of work under the agreement includes underground mining at the 242 and southern extension, decline development for an estimated period of three years.
As the first project in West Africa, Wassa marks a major breakthrough and further increase in market share for JCHX in Africa, fully demonstrating its predominant advantage in global mining service sector.
