On August 11 and 12, Chambishi project held the third trackless fleet maintenance skills competition, with 32 Chinese and foreign employees participated. Representatives from the Owner and the project management attended the opening ceremony.
Upon fierce competitions among individuals and teams, Mwape Mumba from 800 West won the first place in maintenance and servicing skills as individual, Sichilnai Lucky from the Equipment Dept took the crown in the engine maintenance contest, and Wang Shuai, Alex Kampinda and Chikwanda Henry from Old Panel bore the palm as a group. Project Manager and Supply Manager presented awards to the winners.
Focused on both theory and practice, this competition reveals the employees’ knowledge and skills over vernier caliper and micrometer measurements, identification of metric and imperial units, tolerance fitting, SKD disassembly and assembly, diagnosis of equipment failure and trouble-shooting, clearance adjustment of hydraulic system and engine valve, etc.
