
Recently, JCHX Group announced that its subsidiary, JCHX Mining Construction Zambia Ltd, will undertake 2024-2025 mining works of main and western ore bodies at Chambishi copper mine.
In 2003, JCHX was awarded the contract for UG construction and mining operation at Chambishi Copper Mine by NFCA, marking the first overseas large-scale non-ferrous mining project for China. The scope of work of this newly signed contract contains two parts, one being the works at main ore body which consists of UG development, mining preparation, cutting, stoping, ground support, haulage, and filling works below A-holes on 300mL (excluding 800mL west testing stope), 500mL and 700mL tramming system, 878mL trackless haulage system, 500mL and 700mL unloading stations, 878mL waste rock pass and transfer station, operation and management of 878mL ore pass and 900mL ore pass, operation and maintenance of UG ventilation fan station, etc. The other one is the works at west ore body that covers development, mining preparation, cutting, stoping, ground support, haulage, filling works below 100mL, haulage system of 300mL, 400mL, 500mL, 600mL and 700mL, operation and maintenance of connecting works between the west ore body and the main ore body, ore transportation from 174mL ore unloading station to crushing station of processing plant, waste rock transportation from 174mL waste rock unloading station to waste rock dump, etc.
