JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "JCHX" or "the Company") deeply recognizes that community relationships built on trust and mutual benefit are a critical foundation for the success of its business. The Company is committed to constructing a mutually trusting and win-win community relationship network at multiple levels – from local to national – by advancing ESG practices and making long-term value investments. Through these efforts, it aims to systematically mitigate the potential impacts of operational activities on communities and comprehensively enhance the well-being of communities where its projects are located. Our core objective is to empower communities' capacity for self-development and collaboratively drive the achievement of sustainable development goals for local communities.
To fulfill the above commitments, we will implement the following policies:
1. Communication with external stakeholders shall cover as many groups as possible. We will maintain transparency through active interaction to gain and retain the social recognition necessary for local business operations. Stakeholders will be ensured early and continuous participation in decision-making processes related to community health, safety, livelihoods, and the environment, thus effectively safeguarding their rights to know and participate.
2. The Company fully respects the cultural traditions, identity, and customs of the countries/regions where it operates, and recognizes the unique rights, cultural heritage, and historical context of local residents. It also objectively acknowledges the potential impacts of mining activities on their lands, environment, and resources. In scenarios where business operations may significantly affect local residents, we will systematically identify, prevent, and remedy adverse impacts on their land, environment, and resources.
3. The Company is committed to being an active co-builder of the communities where its projects are located. Through collaboration with stakeholders, we will promote the coordinated socio-economic development of these communities. In practice, we will work with communities to accurately identify their core needs and provide targeted responses via long-term community investment strategies and customized development projects. All community development initiatives will be guided by local laws and regulations and closely aligned with community priorities, and shall focus on areas such as environmental improvement, health and safety enhancement, educational support, infrastructure development, and economic diversification, ensuring its operations generate tangible and positive social value.
Scope of Application
As a public programmatic document, this policy applies to all members (including board members and senior management personnel) of the Company and its subsidiaries (with operational control), and requires relevant suppliers, partners, and their long-term/temporary employees providing services to JCHX to strictly implement it. Additionally, the scope of the policy extends to all operating entities under the Company and its subsidiaries (with operational control), specifically covering mining service project departments/project companies, resource project companies, other business sector’s operating units, etc.
Regarding associated and joint venture enterprises, the Company will actively promote the alignment of their policies and practices with the requirements of these guidelines through the exercise of shareholder/board rights, ensuring that their policy orientation and practical operations comply with the core principles advocated by this policy.
