Laos Kaiyuan Project

Project Overview & Initial Scope : Located in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, the project initially focused on capital construction. The preliminary scope of work included the sinking and lining of the south return ventilation shaft, ventilation drift construction, substation setup, as well as fan installation and commissioning.
Mining Operations & Management : In September 2022, a landmark contract was signed for the commissioned mining operation and management of the Laos Kaiyuan Potash Mine. The operational scope encompasses underground mining in the south mining area (including extraction and stope preparation), drift development, ground support, and other associated works.

Key Achievements: The project team successfully completed the installation of a 2,200-meter ultra-long underground belt conveyor system and the deployment of large continuous miners. Through these efforts, the project has fully achieved its design capacity and operational standards.
