Project Profile
The project, adjacent to Zambia, locates close to Kasumbalesa port and other JCHX projects. JCHX has acquired PE13093 exploitation permit and other 7 exploration permits through acquisition, possessing nearly one million tons of copper resources with high quality, among which Lonshi Copper Mine is a typical strata-bound mineral deposit at Central Africa Copper Belt, owning 870k tons of copper metal, with an average copper grade of 2.82%. The mine remains open at depth and the mineral reserves still have the potential to increase. Besides, 7 exploration permits cover a total area of 900 km2 and more, spreading over the southeast of DRC, occupying the east of the Central Africa Copper Belt.
The project commenced production on September 20, 2023.Production ramp up in the west area and the feasibility study for the mining expansion and processing works in the east area of Lonshi Copper Mine have both been completed, with the total annual production (east & west combined) expected to achieve 100,000 tons of copper post ramp-up.
